Paragon Properties - Tips Before Buying Land!

Paragon Properties wants you to have a safe and enjoyable experience buying land in Costa Rica - whether or not you purchase the land from us.  Please carefully consider the following seven important points BEFORE sending any money to a company selling land in Costa Rica:

#1 - It is imperative that you check out what you are buying and who you are buying it from.

#2 - Make sure you check out the comparables.

#3 - Make sure the property is owned and deeded by the seller or the company you are working with. Paragon owns all of its property - click here to see one of our many listings in the Costa Rican National Land Registry. And if you are buying the property from someone else you can click here to visit the Costa Rican Online National Land Registry to make sure the property is owned by the seller.

#4 - Make sure there are no mortgages on the property you buy so the owner can sell it to you free and clear.

#5 - Make sure the company you buy from has Catastro Plot Maps,(click here to see one of Paragon's Catastro Maps) which are maps issued by the Costa Rican Government showing your lot in the development.

#6 - Make sure that INVU has granted permission for the sub-division.  You can contact the Instituto Nacional de Vivienda y Urbanismo or calling 506-256-5265.

#7 - Make sure Setena has granted permission for roads to be built on the property by calling their office in Costa Rica at 506-234-3367.

If the property you are considering purchasing cannot pass these seven important tests, please do not purchase the property.
